Tales Of Grimm returned to the winner’s circle with an impressive performance in the Listed Scone Cup (1600m) last time out and has been included in 2015 Hawkesbury Gold Cup nominations.

Posting four wins and two minors through 20 career starts, Tales Of Grimm made an immediate impact upon arriving in the care of Sam Kavanagh this time; taking out the HK Racehorse Owners BM87 (1200m) on February 7th.

While failing to match in in his next two runs, his most recent performance in the Scone Cup and his transferral to the care of Chris Waller is sure to count for a lot on Sunday.

Waller has included a total of six of his stable stars in 2015 Hawkesbury Gold Cup nominations, including Rugged Cross and You’ll Never.

A favourite in betting markets leading up to the Hawkesbury Gold Cup’s original date, Rugged Cross instead progressed to a credible third in the talent-rich Octagonal Handicap (1400m) at Rosehill Gardens on May 30th.

Securing five wins and a further nine minors over his 23 career starts so far, the Cape Cross gelding won the Royal Randwick 100 (1400m) and finished second in the Handicap (1600m) leading into his most recent effort and will be difficult to beat on Sunday if allocated a good barrier on Thursday morning.

A proven performer over the distance, You’ll Never is yet to take anything but success through two starts this time and is arguably Waller’s best chance of 2015 Hawkesbury Gold Cup success.

Godolphin is set to be offered a great chance of success on Sunday after trainer John O’Shea confirmed Magic Hurricane in 2015 Hawkesbury Gold Cup nominations.

Yet to appear on course competitively in Australia, Magic Hurricane posted several commendable results in his native Ireland and the UK in 2014; highlighted by success in the Sports Betting Exchange Handicap (2213m) and Live Horse Racing Markets Handicap (2414m).

The 2015 Hawkesbury Gold Cup final field and barrier draw is due to be completed and released by midday, Thursday (June 4th).
